The classical guitar — (sometimes called the "Spanish guitar" or "nylon string guitar") — is a 6-stringed plucked string instrument from the family of instruments called chordophones.
A guitar with nylon strings on it for a softer sound.
- An eight-string guitar is a guitar with eight strings instead of the commonly used six strings. Such guitars are not as common as the six string variety, but are used by classical, jazz, and metal guitarists to expand the range of their instrument by adding two strings.
String-pieced Star
This is one side of a tote bag. I've always wanted to make enough of these string-pieced eight-pointed stars to make an entire quilt, but I just don't seem to get around to all the projects in my head. No wonder the voices keep getting louder and louder !
Machine-pieced, machine-quilted.
